Nolok is shown to have a somewhat "laid-back" type of personality, but is also shown to be quite arrogant, as he cites himself as "king of the karts", and that nobody can beat him at racing. Its an open-source game similar to Mario Kart, but it has become more distinctive over time. Nolok then is unlocked and playable in the character roster. Regardless of what character you picked, once the player has defeated Nolok, the game will show a cutscene where Tux frees Gnu from his cell, and the game ends. He is then seen again in the final level of the Story Mode, which is unlocked once the player has 180 points or more, where the player must race against him at his lair, Fort Magma, where Nolok tries to cheat by using items at the very beginning, such as a force field or a hammer (his version of the fly swatter) which squashes the player once they are close enough to him. He then goes back into his ship and flies back to his lair. Nolok then tells the latter and all of the other mascots that if they can beat him at racing, he will free Gnu, otherwise, he'll eat him for supper. He then flies over to the mascot village, where Tux (and as well as the other Mascots) notice(s) that his leader is missing. Nolok then presses two buttons on his remote, which sends his ship over, abducts Gnu, and imprisons him at Fort Magma, the former's lair. Nolok first appears in the game's opening cutscene where he is seen hiding behind a tree, while Gnu, the leader of the mascot kingdom plays a song on his flute.
